I'm Marcos Villamil,
and this is just a bit about me
I'm Marcos Villamil and this is a glimpse into my story…

My existence has always revolved around the world of horses and farming, a lifelong journey etched into my very being. While I was born in the bustling heart of Buenos Aires city, my family's farm, a three-hour drive away, has been my sanctuary since my earliest memories.

Each summer and winter of my youth was spent amidst the rustic charm of our farmstead. At the age of 17, I embarked on a transformative journey guided by Angelito, a gaucho whose friendship would shape my future in a sense. It was under his guidance that I first learned the intricate art of breaking in a wild horse.

By the time I reached 19, I was ready for my first significant expedition - a 200-mile ride that marked the beginning of my deep connection with the vast Argentine landscape. Two years later, I ventured even further, conquering a 620-mile trek. It was during this monumental ride that I realized my deep-seated desire to explore every facet of my homeland with the faithful companionship of my three equine friends.

After completing my studies and earning a degree in "Agriculture Engineering," I returned to the family farm to put my newfound knowledge into practice. My journey later took me to the Agri-Business division of a prominent bank, where I continued to expand my horizons.

I came close to plunging into the world of startups with @jornaderosagro, but fate had other plans. It became very clear that my dream needed to take center stage. So, I embarked on a remarkable odyssey spanning 15 months and covering over 5,600 miles, my horses—Mora, Wayra, and Tordo—and I crisscrossed the breathtaking tapestry of Argentina. The landscapes we encountered, the situations we navigated, and the people we met were beyond anything one could fathom.

Join me on the biggest adventure, embark on this incredible journey, and I shall share with you the tales of our region —a tapestry woven with the threads of Argentina's beauty, grace, and boundless wonder.

“Someone once told me that life was about making decisions. Basically, that´s what I did.“
TN CAMPO (national chanel)
“We got to knew an Argentina that nobody showed us before, an Argentina that we don't talk about and that we don´t realise how great it is. We don´t realise that we are millionares: we have an immense treasure that any Argentine who leaves the country misses”.
“To make a trip like this you need horses with certain conditions, that do not have a high wither and other physical issues, but above all you need a horse with spirit, a horse that can spend 3 or 4 days in unfavorable conditions”.
